“Movement is Medicine”
-Ya’Acov & Susannah Darling Khan

Movement Medicine® is a creative, embodied practice rooted in ancient wisdom and scientific understanding. Get grounded in your body, in touch with your purpose, and discover the wellspring of resilience and resource within you. Movement Medicine will connect you to the wisdom of living from the heart, the joy of knowing who you are and the fulfilment of making your unique contribution.

Through movement, with others and in a group, we re-member our embodied self, and discover the wellspring of resilience and resource within.

About us:  Thomas Lucas is a licensed IFS psychotherapist, who is also trained in AEDP and somatic-based EMDR.  Carolyn Cooke is a certified Gestalt Coach and a life-long student of embodied learning and movement.  Together we have spent years on the dance floor discovering how we move - alone and together. In 2019 we committed to the Movement Medicine path and completed a year-long apprenticeship with Ya’Acov & Susannah Darling Khan, the founder of Movement Medicine. In 2024 we are continuing to deepening our connection to the practice by stepping into the Movement Medicine Professional Training.

This workshop welcomes both complete beginners and experienced movers. There is no choreography to get right, and no dance experience or ability is necessary, just a willingness to move and explore the familiar and unknown.

Cancellation Policy: A full refund is available up to 7 days before each class. $5 administration fee charged if cancelled within 2 days of the class.
